In order to reduce energy consumption, reduce the discharge of waste gas and waste water, reduce production cost and improve enterprise’s competition power, from June 2008, KLK started to invest more than RMB 30 million to carry out the third technical reform of the production lines of electrolytic cobalt and electrolytic copper after its establishment. Focusing on the opinions of environmental protection, energy-saving and science & technology, this technical reform has used the know-how of the patents of invention developed by KLK and Beijing General Research Institute of Mining & Metallurgy. It is a leap in quality of the production technology of the enterprise.
After 3 months’ dismantling, reforming and construction, the technical reform of the production liens completed successfully in early August. The production started from the middle of August. The on-spot inspection has shown that the new production lines occupy 50% lesser land areas. The consumption of electrical power of electrolytic cobalt and electrolytic copper has reduced 40% and 20% respectively while the unit time yield has increased 30%. In addition, the zero discharge of the harmful gases such as chlorine has achieved basically. The preset target is reached and the level of the whole technology is in a leading position in the country.
