Jiangsu Cobalt Nickel Metal Co., Ltd. is a joint venture professionally engaging in wet-method smelting of cobalt metal and R&D and manufacture of its new chemical materials. KLK was established in 2003 with a registered capital of RMB 100 million. Its headquarters occupies a land area of 103,000 square meters. Located in Jiangsu Taixing Economic Development Zone, a fine chemicals development park with the most promising potential in China, KLK has the advantages of regional economy and traffic conditions because of its location close to the hinterland of Yangtze Delta Economic Zone led by Shanghai, near the harbours of Yangtz River and with a distance of 10 kilometers to Beijing-Shanghai Highway. KLK produces mainly the Brand KLK products including electrolytic cobalt, cobalt oxide, cobalt powders, cobalt chloride and cobalt carbonate.  

Since its establishment, KLK has kept a stable and rapid growth. In 2008, with a new investment of almost RMB 100 million, relying on the patents of invention of energy-saving and environmental protection, KLK has finished the technical reform of the production lines of electrolytic cobalt and electrolytic copper and the second-stage expansion of the production of cobalt oxide, and has upgraded its production and technical level, structure of products and production capacity to a new stage. The annual capacity reaches 3,500 tons of cobalt metal, including 1,200 tons of electrolytic cobalt, 3,500 tons of cobalt oxide, 500 tons of other cobalt salts and cobalt powders. The turnover of 2008 is RMB 760 million. Our products that have good reputation and strong competitive power in the domestic and the international markets have been exported to many countries and areas in Asia, Europe and North America. Presently, KLK has become the second largest producer of electrolytic cobalt and an important supplier of battery materials in China.
